“Offering account deletion in your app”

So, when I am sharing this post few minutes back I received a mail from Apple review team for app rejection and thought I should inform you guys that what went wrong actually.

Here is the portion of the review report.

App Review

I couldn’t believe that I missed this major app review guideline addition by Apple so I explored and found that it is mandatory now.

This is what Apple says:

Starting June 30, 2022, apps submitted to the App Store that support account creation must also let users initiate deletion of their account within the app.
(Ref: https://developer.apple.com/support/offering-account-deletion-in-your-app)

Next Step: Nothing special I just have to comply to the guidelines and add an option for my users to delete their account in the app.

One question that I still have in mind is; How Apple is going to know if any app is faking that option?
I believe that’s again some legal things if any app doesn’t comply and just fakes it.
